Church News Briefly: June 23, 2021

Ad Hoc discussion: The members of this church will meet online by Zoom at 7pm tomorrow, June 24th to discuss the recent report from the Ad hoc building and grounds committee.

Please, plan to join us that evening to share inspiration from our prayers and discuss and clarify what is in the report. This is only the first of what may be a series of meetings to discuss this topic.

Prison Ministry: The prison system is opening up for religious services beginning in July. The Prison Ministry Committee is preparing to begin regular ministry to the Central New Mexico Correctional Facility in Los Lunas as soon as our visitors complete retraining as required by the prison authorities. The Committee is grateful to the Reading Room Staff for mailing lesson sermons and literature to the prison during the past year.

Return to in person: We will return to in person services on Sunday, July 4th. Sunday School will continue online for now.

Rio Rancho contribution: The Rio Rancho Society has dissolved and sold their church property. As a result, the members there decided to make contributions to Chrisitan Science churches and organizations in New Mexico. Our church received a substantial contribution from them. At the September membership meeting plans can be made for an investment strategy by the membership.

The Reading Room is still looking for volunteers a couple of hours each month on Saturdays.
