"Children are more tractable than adults, and learn more readily to love the simple verities that will make them happy and good. Jesus loved little children because of their freedom from wrong and their receptiveness of right. While age is halting between two opinions or battling with false beliefs, youth makes easy and rapid strides towards Truth."
- Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, 236:25
You may never be asked to step into that fiery furnace or challenge the biggest guy you’ve ever seen to a one-on-one, but studying the Bible is like weight training. It is a means to an end. You don’t lift weights so that you will be prepared in case someone lays a barbell across your chest. You lift weights so that you can breakthrough the defensive line, or lift your groceries or chop wood or lift the child you are babysitting without hurting your back.
You study the Bible so that you can identify voices and choices and real messages that are being sent to you every day. Sunday School is learning the practice of making right decisions in your life on the basis of reliance on a higher law of good. You can use the stories in the Bible to learn how to be happy and healthy and helpful.
Child Care is provided in the Children's Room for children under the age of six.
