Grounds Committee
Spring is a busy time for plants, trees, and lawns. That means that the Grounds Committee is busy too. Our team consists of Mark Kimball, Berney Scott, Pete and Cathy Spotts, and me. Also, Derrick Chee has been helping out when he can, and Dave Nartonis volunteers as well. We have been taking turns weeding, pruning, trimming, sweeping and watering at the Reading Room and the Church. The lawns are being mowed again. When we are all back in church you will find happy plants.
Neighbors have stopped to tell us they are enjoying our plants. They have been walking past our blooming purple plum, daffodils and grape hyacinths, blooming Red Bud trees, rosemary, and beautiful booming Vinca major. The irises are about to bloom. That is only a partial list of the beautiful and fragrant spring show.
Arctic regions, sunny tropics, giant hills, winged winds, mighty billows, verdant vales, festive flowers, and glorious heavens, — all point to Mind, the spiritual intelligence they reflect. The floral apostles are hieroglyphs of Deity.
