Keeping the Reading Room in Thought

July 11, 2017

Executive Board,

You may have noticed brief announcements coming from the desk to share what’s going on at the Reading Room, to encourage us to keep the Reading Room lovingly in thought thus prompting us to consider what the Reading Room means to us. Already there has been wonderful fruitage for one listener on the teleconference call: a long time listener to the Christian Science Monitor but very new to Christian Science called the Reading Room the day after hearing the announcement about the Monitor to express gratitude for the great publication and joy that this publication was founded by Mary Baker Eddy - this lead to more questions about Christian Science.

A big thanks to the dedicated grounds committee in keeping the Reading Room grounds in good shape with lots of weeds-pulling and pruning. And, even though Holly Summers is no longer holding the position of Reading Room custodian, there is heartfelt gratitude for her good work – Thanks Holly!!  Virginia Cervantes is now beautifully filling that role and we are thankful to her as well!
